6-8 qt slow cooker

Directions

Preheat grill on HIGH 10 min.
  1. Clean grill with wire brush; using soft cloth, coat lightly with vegetable oil.
     
  2. Season ribs generously with cracked pepper. Sear on grill 3-4 min on each side.
     
  3. Transfer ribs to slow cooker. Whisk together W-Cola and ketchup in large bowl; pour over ribs.
     
  4. Cover and cook on HIGH 3-4 hours or on LOW 6-7 hours, until tender.
     
  5. Remove ribs and set aside. Carefully pour sauce into medium saucepan; skim fat from surface and discard. Bring sauce to a boil on HIGH. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 4-5 min, until reduced by one-quarter. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve ribs with sauce.
Options
Do ahead by completing steps 1 & 2 and making the sauce. Place seared ribs in large pan and cover with sauce. Cover and refrigerate. When ready to cook, transfer to slow cooker and continue with step 4.
