  1. Make compote: Add berries to saucepan on MED-LOW. Cook, stirring, about 25 min, until berries are softened but not mushy.
     
  2. Add port to separate saucepan; bring to a boil on HIGH. Reduce heat to MED; simmer 20-25 min, until sauce is reduced by two-thirds.
     
  3. Combine port and berries, blending gently. Set aside.

When ready to serve: Preheat grill on HIGH.

  1. Coat cleaned grill grate lightly with vegetable oil.
     
  2. Season chops with cracked pepper blend; drizzle with basting oil.
     
  3. Sear lamb on grill until color changes one-quarter of way up from bottom, 2-3 min. Turn over and sear other side, 2-3 min longer. Reduce heat to MED; close lid.
     
  4. Cook 4-8 min, until about 5 degrees less than desired doneness (about 20 min for medium). Refer to temperature chart for final cooking times. Check internal temp by inserting thermometer halfway into thickest part of lamb, away from bone. Let stand 5 min. 
       
  5. Mix salad blend and watercress in large bowl; portion on serving plates. Top with lamb chops; drizzle with compote.
