  1. Heat large pot of water to boiling. Add lobsters*, head-first. Cover, return to boiling, and cook 2 min. Transfer lobsters to shallow pan. Remove bands from claws and cool lobsters 30 min. (This step can be done the night before; refrigerate lobsters.)
     
  2. Preheat grill on MED-HIGH.
     
  3. Snap off claws and tails. Remove legs and set aside. Discard bodies. Cover claws with towel to prevent spattering, and crack with nutcracker or back of heavy knife. Do not remove shells.
     
  4. Split tails lengthwise completely down centers; do not remove meat from shells. Rinse to remove veins. Place claws and tails, cut-side up, on tray. Drizzle each tail with 1/2 tsp basting oil; season with salt and pepper. Melt butter; drizzle 1 Tbsp over tails. Reserve remaining butter for serving.
     
  5. Arrange tails and claws, cut-sides up, on grill; grill about 15 min, or until internal temp reaches 145 degrees (check by inserting thermometer halfway into thickest part of meat).
     
  6. Remove from grill; serve with legs and remaining butter.
Chef Tips
*Cook as many lobsters at one time as can be completely submerged in pot of water.
