Grilled Grass-Fed Beef Strip Steaks with Basil Pesto

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat grill on HIGH 10 min. Coat cleaned grill grate lightly with vegetable oil.
     
  2. Season both sides of steaks with salt and pepper; drizzle lightly with basting oil. Sear on grill 1-3 min, until steaks have changed color one-quarter of way up and seared side has browned. Turn over; baste. Sear 1-3 min. Turn over a second time; baste. Grill 1-3 min. Turn over a third time; baste.
     
  3. Reduce heat to MED; close cover. Cook 5-10 min until steaks reach desired doneness (refer to temp charts for final internal temp). 
      
  4. Transfer steaks to serving platter; let rest 5-10 min.
     
  5. Top each steak with 1 Tbsp pesto sauce.
Chef Tips
Italian Classics Tomato Pesto Sauce can be substituted for the basil pesto.
