Grilled Dry-Rub Pork Chops

  1. Preheat grill on HIGH 10 min. Sprinkle each chop with 1/4 tsp BBQ seasoning; gently press into meat. Drizzle with basting oil, rubbing gently into meat.
     
  2. Coat cleaned grill grate lightly with vegetable oil.
     
  3. Sear chops 2-3 min until meat has changed color one-quarter of way up from bottom. Turn over; baste (brush seared side with basting oil). Sear 2-3 min.
     
  4. Turn over; baste. Turn over again; baste. Reduce heat to LOW or MED (MED for cuts thicker than 1 inch); close grill lid. Cook 5-8 min, until internal temp reaches 145 degrees (check by inserting thermometer halfway into thickest part of meat). Transfer to clean platter; let rest at least 5-10 min.
