Clam Steamer

Directions

  1. Rinse clams and mussels well under cold running water; discard any that are broken or open.
     
  2. Remove steamer insert from clam steamer. Add water, potatoes, and kielbasa to steamer base; cover. Bring to boil on HIGH; reduce heat to MED.
     
  3. Layer clams, lobsters, corn, and mussels in steamer insert; add to base. Cover; steam about 20 min, until lobster reaches 145 degrees (check by inserting thermometer halfway into thickest part of lobster). 
     
  4. Remove steamer insert; discard any unopened clams and mussels. Transfer contents onto parchment paper-covered table or extra-large platter. 
     
  5. Strain potatoes and kielbasa from base; reserve broth. Add potatoes and kielbasa to seafood mix; garnish with lemon wedges. Strain broth into bowl; serve immediately with seafood.
Chef Tips
Serve with melted butter.
