Cherry and Apple Bread Pudding

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat bottom and sides of large braising pan with 1 Tbsp butter. Add cubed baguette, cherries, apples, and orange zest; mix thoroughly.
     
  2. Whisk together half and half, eggs, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and remaining melted butter in large bowl. Pour over baguette mixture, stirring to mix. Let rest 10 min.
     
  3. Bake, uncovered, 45 min, until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let rest 15-20 min before serving.
Chef Tips
Day-old bread will absorb more liquid. If preferred, prepare pudding a day ahead and refrigerate overnight before baking.
Options
Sprinkle Bread Pudding with Confectioner's sugar and serve with yogurt.
