  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Heat 1 tsp basting oil in large skillet on MED until oil faintly smokes. Crumble sausage into skillet and brown, stirring frequently with spatula. Remove from skillet and set aside.
     
  2. Add chopped onion and 1 Tbsp basting oil to skillet; cook, stirring, 2-3 min. Add apples, parsley, cumin, and browned sausage. Stir in cheese.
     
  3. Lightly beat egg with few drops water in small bowl.
     
  4. Roll out each biscuit on lightly floured surface to 4-inch round; brush edges with egg. Top with 2 Tbsp filling; fold over biscuit, enclosing filling. Seal edges by pressing down firmly with tines of fork; brush with egg. Repeat with remaining biscuits and filling. Arrange on greased cookie sheet.
     
  5. Bake 15 min, until golden brown.
Chef Tips
If desired, garnish empanadas with sliced apple.
