Make Mom an Edible Fruit Bouquet

Fun for the kids, this heartfelt gift is a delicious way to celebrate her special day. Your bouquet can be whatever size you like, just follow these easy steps to make it delicious!

Gather Your Materials

  • An Assortment of Fruit – Use whatever you have on hand. We recommend seedless watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, pineapple, strawberries, red & green seedless grapes, and oranges
  • Base for Your Bouquet – Use something you already have in the house: a mason jar, vase, mug or even a ceramic teapot
  • Floral Foam – Any kind of sturdy foam you have should work
  • Bamboo Skewers – Cut them to the size you need based on your vase
  • Cookie Cutters – Use hearts, flowers or whatever you have on hand
  • Knife (plastic knife for little helpers)
  • Melon Baller
  • Chocolate for Dipping

Prep Your Fruit

Wash and cut your fruit. Using a knife, slice your pineapple and melon into ½” thick slices. Then, cut fruit into whatever shapes you like using your cookie cutters. Use a melon baller as well if you have one at home. Skewer fruit in whatever order you like. Once skewered, dip your fruit in melted chocolate, making sure the fruit is fully dry before dipping.

Arrange Your Bouquet

Place your foam inside your base. Add your skewered fruit to your base, letting your creativity guide you. There’s no right or wrong way, just have fun! If you need a little inspiration, look online for fun ideas.
