  1. I have just started growing broccoletti but all I have is a green stem with yellow flowers. So far no green broccoletti heads – has it gone to flower before producing anything?

Joan commented on May 14, 2012.
    • Hi Joan,

We checking with some of our grower partners on your question. They tell us that if the plant is showing yellow flowers it is probably too late. They also mentioned that depending on the variety, they sometimes grow a little bit differently.

  2. I hope you bring back the Organic Valley Half and Half the Wegmans brand does not cut it.
The Wegmans brand is not as good and it doesn’t last as long. I am very disappointed that you discontined it.

Karen Kirkpatrick commented on May 7, 2012.
    • Hi Karen,

Organic Valley Half & Half was discontinued at one time, but it was recently brought back due to popular demand (like yours!). It’s offered in a quart size carton in the Nature’s Marketplace cooler. If you have trouble locating it at your store, please ask an employee for assistance. Thank you for shopping at Wegmans!

  3. Julie, just came across this page as I was looking for you. I was doing some packing and came across Wing of Life and memories of The Annex came flooding back. I am Zoe now, used to be Carole. Carole and Peter…remember. You used to work with us at The Annex. It was so hard for you at the time as we did meat there but you developed some super recipes. I still keep in touch with Peter. He still lives in Santa Cruz and I live in Mexico. Sorry to rattle on in this public forum but I hope you see this. Hugs and wondrous good wishes for what you are doing!! Zoe aka Carole

  4. Hey Wegmans,
Just read Bills comment below and I had the pleasure of having Maia when I went to my friends baby shower in Boston. It tasted really good and they were raving about how some kid who was giving out samples at Roche Brothers grocery store told them it has 10 times more of these probiotics that any other yogurt. Dr. Oz says probiotics are awesome and I would love to see a probiotic yogurt like Maia on Wegmans shelf. Do you have any yogurts with lots of probiotics?

Jane Edwards commented on May 3, 2012.
    • Hi Jane,

I checked with our nutrition team about your question on probiotics in yogurt. Here’s what they tell me: Wegmans Super Yogurt contains 1.91 billion live & active probiotic cultures per 8 oz serving as well as inulin which is a prebiotic (which provides nourishment for probiotic cultures). I hope you find this information helpful!

  7. Hello Everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to blog about such a positive experience I had at Wegmans today. I found out a couple weeks ago while shopping that Wegmans started serving hispanic (Puerto Rican) food at their $6 meals counter at the Hudson Avenue location. I couldn’t have been more excited about that. While standing at the counter trying to determine which meal myself and my daughter wanted, the store manager of Wegmans On Hudson Avenue came up to me and asked me what I thought about them having the hispanic food now. He was standing a bit away from me along with about 7 other Wegmans employees and they seemed to be specifically meeting about the new food items while handing out samples. I told him that I specifically came to that location just because of the hispanic food addition. I guess I said just the right thing at the right moment because he called over another man to tell him what I said and he joked that I “made his heart so happy.” This may sound corny but this experience made my day! I have a sincere love for Wegmans and I always see the manager on Hudson Avenue which I believe his name may be Ang Fantuzzo. I see him all the time and he looks like such a nice, warm hearted amazing manager. Weirdly I always wanted to talk to him and tell him what an amazing store he runs and how well his employees treat his customers. I was super excited that he spoke to me. LOL.. Not in a weird way at all..just in a OMG the store manager of wegmans is talking to me..like he’s a celeb?! LOL…. I have such a strong desire to work for Wegmans one day and I am beyond motivated to make it happen one day. I am graduating from MCC in one month and I plan to apply right away after. Thank you Wegmans for making a trip to your store such a pleasant experience. I go to Wegmans like it’s retail therapy I swear!AHHH my love for Weggies :)

  8. Heyyy Wegmans, I just had an amazing greek style yogurt the other day called Maia Yogurt and was wondering if you guys are thinking about expanding your greek yogurt section. I love greek style yogurts and would love to see a wider variety at Wegmans.

    • Hi Bill,

We receive so many product requests each year it’s impossible to say yes to every one. But, sometimes we are able to add a new product. Please send us an e-mail by using our contact us page with the name of the product, size, where you’ve seen it carried, and the UPC number (bar code). The more information we have, the better we can research the possibility. Keep in mind that some products are only regionally available. Something seen in Florida, for example, may not be available in the northeast. Decisions are based on product availability, the number of requests we’ve received for the same product, and the selection of similar products in the same category. Thanks for visiting our blog!

    • I am with Bill on this one. Maia yogurt is awesome and I prefer them to the other brands. I think they produce in PA also. I would love to see them in Wegmans, especially in Syracuse!

  10. Dear Sirs: I’m writing as a private person but I officially work in a public capacity near one of your stores. I wonder if Wegmans would consider supplying the produce vegetables and fruits to my Farmers Market on Main Street along with my local American Legion Post this summer? We’re trying to work with the Legion to support their Veterans Memorial Park and this summer’s Farmers Market would help their fundraising efforts. My dream would be for Wegmans to bring your mobile market to my city twice a week and weekends or partner with my veterans to sell us the produce to so some of the proceeds would flow towards the memorial park. Its a win/win for everyone and summer jobs for teens and vets. What do you and the rest of Wegmans world think?

Donald commented on March 2, 2012.
    • I’m not a Wegman’s employee, but I AM a U.S.Marine (no longer on active duty). Thank you Donald for an amazing idea! I hope that Wegman’s goes for it!

Jenna commented on March 2, 2012.
      • Hi Jenna

My idea comes from the tremendous response we’ve had in our community since Wegmans arrived and what better way for our veterans to be associated in any way with this great store. I’m a Marine too but I’m sad to say too many of my seniors and veterans I think are missing out on the quality and customer service of Wegmans. So I’m pushing outreach with beautiful friuts and vegetables like nowhere else in my county. If my folks can’t find their way into the store, then this summer come to them (down the road)and create some summer jobs that will be remembered.

Donald commented on March 7, 2012.
    • Hi Donald,

Thanks for writing in with your idea! I’m not sure what area you’re in, but it sounds like your request would be best considered by the store location nearest to you. We would encourage you to contact your store, or if you’d like to let us know which location you’re referring to, we’d be happy to share your comment with the folks there.

      • Thanks Valerie. I’m a fan of Wegman’s so talking to Wegman’s world was my intent. I will approach my local store but my comments were really intended to be a suggestion not anything formal or offical. For the record I’m near your Woodmore store in the great city of Glenarden Maryland.

  11. My first negative experience at Wegmans. Here I am with all the kids going in to Wegmans for the prepared foods buffet, all because I had a coupon for $5 off on a purchase of $20 or more. I checked the expiration date and I was all good. It was a coupon that was spit out on the back of a Wegmans receipt. I normally shop at the Calkins Wegmans and maybe just maybe do Marketplace, so for the most part Wegmans knows I shop in Henrietta. So I get to the check out and in the fine print on the coupon it says for the Pittsford Wegmans only. WHAT!!!! I was pissed. If I did not have the kids with me, I would have stuck them for the meal. It was always my opinion of Wegmans that they were not into slight of hand or bad hat marketing, but I reread the receipt it was not overly obvious that the coupon was location specific. I am going to squawk about this for awhile in as many places I can. Let’s see how long it takes to get on their social media radar. Bad Bad Bad experience. Did I mention that I am a little ticked off.

  12. WEGMANS HOAGIES ARE GREAT!

  13. Dear Sirs:

I am writing this as an explanation of my application work history. I was born in Philippines, and lived there until I was 21, at which time I moved to USA to live with my husband, and have lived in USA since January 2008.

Since moving to USA, my husband and I have had two children. I am now ready and willing to enter the workforce. My mother has joined us in USA, and will help take care of my children (with my husband) while I am working.

While living in the Philippines, in order to help my family, I dropped out of high school for 2 years to work (Hilda’s Mini Mart). After graduating High School, I went to Manila (Philippines) from 2003 – 2005, and worked as a housemaid and as an assembly worker in an electronics company. Retuning home in 2005, I helped my parents with my four younger siblings, and also helped my mother run our family run grocery store while my father worked as a carpenter.

I know and understand the value and importance of hard work, and promise that you will not have a harder or more dedicated worker than me. Thank you for this opportunity to write this letter.

  14. This week we purchased Potato/Cheese Pierogies from your Ridge Culver store. Being of Polish/Ukrainian descent, I grew up eating pierogies. Other than those prepared by my grandmothers, these fresh pierogies were the best I have ever purchased at a retail store, festival or church. Thank you for the very fine product which we will continue to purchase. My sister told me the frozen Wegmans Pierogies are also wonderful!!
